AMAZING Black Metal/Death Metal, one of the best albums out of this style since the 90’s. Obviously everyone is compared to Dissection - and this is as close to that level as I’ve heard in a long time - but this is much heavier and thrashier with a lot different lyrical content, much more based in Norse content. Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann

The band pays tribute to old-school black metal without becoming a cliché. Their music is exactly what I want when I want to listen to straight-up Second Wave black metal. The riffs were memorable and weren’t diluted by too-long run times; the drums were resonant and powerful without being overpowering, and the songwriting was excellent overall.
Finland black metal band att the finest.
10/10
